Topic: to MSDOS FAT

Dear Team!
I created a DCP successfully (92 minutes long film), processed on a Mac, and was going to deliver it to the cinema for upload to their machines. But they only accept drives that are MSDOS FAT formatted....ups.

The main file is of course on the order of 90Gb, and that is not accepted by this format (4Gb max). So, I tried to create the DCP straight onto a MSDOS formatted drive. A DCP was created, but it is does not work, since it is only 4GB large and so is lacking loads of data!

Can you advice?

Thanks!

Re: to MSDOS FAT

I'm not familiar with any system that only accepts FAT drives. Nearly all systems read EXT2/3 formatted drives which is the defacto standard. Some systems allow you to upload files over the network using FTP. You could see if they support that or use files sharing to get it over to the system.
