i have, more or less, the same question.

my workflow is:

proreshq rendered in final cut as 10bit yuv.
from that, tiffs are rendered.

should i be using srgb or rec709? something else?

i just screened the srgb dcp in a theater and it looked a bit dark and contrasty. not objectionably so, but noticable.

thanks,
BabaG

not sure where to ask this so i'll try here. please direct me there if there's a more appropriate place.

about to make my first opendcp package and it occurs to me that i don't know what to do about thiings like countdown leaders, slates, and color bars. are any or all of these typically included in dcp packages? do i just include them in my uncompressed master file of my finished piece and then leave them there through the opendcp process? should i make an uncompressed master without these for the opendcp process?

thanks in advance for any guidance,
BabaG
